Versatile Senior Concept Artist & Visual Designer | 15+ Years of Creative Experience
Since entering the creative industry in 2009, my career has been driven by a deep passion for visual storytelling and a high degree of versatility. Over the past 15 years, I have successfully adapted to and evolved across multiple creative fields, starting my journey as a 2D animator, graphic designer, before transitioning into senior roles in concept art for both the film and video game industries.
This diverse background allows me to bridge the gap between technical production and artistic vision. Whether mapping out level designs, developing atmospheric environment concepts, or creating character and prop sheets, I approach every project with an eye for functional worldbuilding.
I am proficient in a wide range of industry-standard software and continuously expand my skill set across various visual disciplines. My passion for the visual medium spans traditional painting, digital illustration, film editing, and web design, allowing me to bring a multifaceted perspective to any production team or creative studio.
I worked as an art director/concept artist on a Teletoon's TV animation show called ''Les histoires bizarres du professeur Zarbi''. The show lasted 3 seasons.
Here are few exemples of my functions as an art director when I was working at Salambo productions:
-Approving of the characters, props and bgs designs, from concept to final version .
-Managing the design team (assigning the assets and the deadlines, formation and evaluations of the artists, one on one, hiring and interviews, HR problems solving, etc...)
-Controlling the quality of the assets (artistically and technically), giving retakes, refs or making paintover to reach the requested quality
-Designing the early sketches of all the characters, following the creative director vision
-write referencial technical documents, art bible, checklist to help artists understanding all the technical aspect of the puppets
-Solving any design majo problem. Regrouping with others leads if needed
-Create the concept and the design of the show and the main character (episode 01)
- I also write the synopsis and/or the first scenario version, of 5 zarbis's episodes.
I worked as a concept artist for VR games (Ape-X VR, Knightfall VR, Wabi VR, SPK zombie invasion VR) and before that I worked as a 2D artist/2D animaor for Mobile games (SPK Candy Defense, LGDT 3D, 2d Nickelodeon games, 2d Disney games...). The styles of the games were really differents, from cartoon to realistic. I designed environments, characters and props. I also worked a lot on texturing using photoshop and maya.
I worked as a 2D animator on the episodes EP57, EP58, EP66, EP68, EP72, EP74 of the TV serie ''Hubert et Takako'', produced by Xilam
I worked as an illlustrator and 2D animator for mobile games, advertising/website agencies, boardgames and book editors. I also taught art workshops for schools and animation centers.
